For example, when I start the game I have to have marked the option 'Skip over the opening intro movies', otherwise the game itself wouldn't load. Same happens when I get to any type of movie in any map: 'Error opening default.avi' and have to terminate the game in Task manager.

Sounds like a codec issue, you tried the Movie Fix on the Last Resort site?

I get the same error, I already tried to replace the files and it didn't work, do you know what could I do to make it work?

I found a solution for me. Multiplayer (LAN) > Create CO-OPERATIVE game > choose Random Objectives (not Standard). The game won't have any video sequences.
