Hey, just wanted to let you know the author of the following maps are by the same person.. =[AOS]= Eraser
LA Suburbs v1.1 Monorail Cargo Center Concorde Gauntlet (Danger Mines)
How do I know? Because I am that person. Also, the image of the house for LA Suburbs is wrong. I personally think Monorail Cargo Center was my best work, but I have definitely improved since those days as you can see here... L4DMaps.com Profile
=[AOS]= Eraser Hello and welcome to Swat3Reunited, I have made the changes to the map download descriptions at your request.
Every time a Swat 3 mapper emerges, I am always thrilled, please check out some of my projects and see if there is any time you can contribute. That would be awesome.
I believe the LA Suburbs v1.1 map is the unifinished version. Please check the download and see if indeed it is the right map, file size and include the correct "Create_Estab" file
You can send me the map on xfire or my email address, all of my details are on the sister site. DnC

The map was finished, according to the read me at least. The image is of someone else's map because my house was all blue with bushes around the house. The layout is completely different also when looking at the image. I no longer have the map file, I just wanted to point out that the image you had was incorrect. When I look inside the folder, the Create_estab is just a swat 3 loading screen, so I wouldn't bother changing it.
I was just wondering if the Sierra.zip file is the original game, or the GOTY edition? If it's a copy that I can get and open WC 3.3 with, I'd love to get another look at the SWAT3 map editing.
Another question is whether the game can handle models yet? I always hated the brush made "models", always so cheap and tacky and I was never any good at making my own.
Shortly, I will be adding WorldCraft 3.3 in the downloads including additional install steps on how to install WC after the installation of the Sierra.zip
So far only static models can be placed in a map, but can be made rigid by adding clip brushes; this process can be tricky because you are not able to see the static mesh in WC, only a ent box is visible. This entire process requires Maya 6.0 and the furrycat GSM export plugins and of course some modeling skills. In addition adding static meshes to a map adds to the overall FOV rendered polygons which can cause some lag if 3+ are grouped withing one cell. Check out the video I made a few years ago.
Having some issues installing Worldcraft with that Sierra.zip file.
I've installed the game and it runs fine. It says it's version 2.1, but when I try to install the Elite Edition Dev Tools it says the game needs to be 1.4.0.0 or higher.
I',m sorry I havent got around to creating the installation instructions.
This happens when Swat 3 version 2.1 is not written into your registry as in the case of the Sierra.zip installation.
Try these steps. ::::::::::::Worldcraft Installation Instructions for Swat 3 v2.1 "Sierra.zip"::::::::::
These installation instructions are the MANUAL installation instructions for Worldcraft 3.3 for Swat 3 TGOTY version 2.1 and for the expansion of the Sierra.zip.
1. Check if you have the following "Tools" directory c:/Sierra/SWAT3/Tools/
2. Download this latest version of Worldcraft Version 3.3 Install in the swat3 "Tools" directory.
You should probably include the WAD file, if you have it. It would really help. I'm currently just making a new swat3 texture WAD. If you can't include it, maybe some quick instructions on how to make one with Wally.
Instructions were perfect. Got it all installed, but then it told me I needed to set up a WAD for my textures, so I got WALLY and tried working it out from there. I got it in the end, just wasn't sure if I needed to add the textures from every mission to the WAD, but I did anyway.
Now I just have to figure out some of the entities and get used to not having displacements and other things that Hammer has, that Worldcraft doesn't.
I might pick your brain a bit more yet, maybe even jump on Teamspeak if you're available in 4-5 hours from now.
I'm always on TS, DnC members know my schedule very well. I try to add textures as I go, it just makes it easier to decifer what textures to include with my mission, when I'm ready to distribute.
