Hi all I've been playing the legit TGOTY edition of SWAT3 for a while now and i,m kinda getting over the bots. Anyone know any good servers i can play on? and if so is there a way to play on one without signing into that Sierra accounts thing? remember: LEGIT
By "legit"; I'm guessing you mean a legit copy of Swat3. Maybe you mean straight tactical, following orders, and NOT "gunho" or "rambo" the entire mission.
Either way, the only way to play Swat 3 in multiplayer is thru a VPN, Virtual Private network. I use Tunngle, hence the links on the front page of my site. Let me know, or let us(swat3reunited) know when you would like to play. I'm sure there are tons of us here that would love to join you. After all that is what this site is all about, reuniting Swat 3 fans in COOP.
Servers are basically games setup in the LAN portion of Swat 3, when you create a LAN game anyone connected to Tunngle Swat 3 room, can join the game. I will log on and run a few games with ya.
Wow this sounds exciting. Just one newbie question. If I have a number of mods in which others do not have or the other way round, do I still get to play with them?
If they have the "exact" mods you have; same file size and filename they will be able to join you.
The mods used are determined by the host of the game. This means you will need to have the "exact" mods as the host to join the game.
In addition to the mods being exact you will need to have the same version of the game. Most commonly used today is Version 2.1, the Last Resort Mod takes it a step further. Version 2.2
