Welcome to Swat 3 Reunited! The reunion is near!

Swat 3 Reunited is back

As you can see this website is back! After an extended period of maintenance the site is back with our usual collection of Swat 3 downloads.

I know that I am just an honourary admin here, but I am happy to see that Copy Cat keeps it running. It is important that Swat 3 files are still available for the community.!!

UPDATE #4: For convenience and ease of access to our collection I have converted all downloads to PUBLIC. No need to register to download. Just browse and download. Thanks to Junkyard Dawg for pointing this out. Makes getting what you need and Lock and Load!

UPDATE #3: I see about 2 dozen people having issues loggin in, if you need further assistance or to speak to someone feel free to stop by our TS: Dazed and Confused Gaming Network at the Following IP:
Beckett and I am usually on around 7pm CST.

UPDATE #2: Captcha was no longer working, its been disabled for now, probably the reason why sign-up have slowed down.
If we start getting spam bots on here we might need to reinstall the plug in.

UPDATE #1: Email Verification for new sign-up and password changes has been updated and tested working!

After 2 days of intensive work, and thanks to the guys over at godaddy. The site is back up and running smoothly again.
Let me know if you encounter any issues. HUA!

Alpha version of Bluemoon released
The alpha version of Beckett and Copy-Cat's map named Bluemoon has been officially released.

Set aboard a bulk cargo ship taken over by extremists. Your mission: Save the damsels in distress. Kill the bad guys. Save the world.

This map is not a rip of any existing map and is exclusive to SWAT3. It has been painstakingly built from scratch and that is why it is still in an alpha state right now and although the map is stable and playable, it is not complete, or fully implemented. As such you are going to find incompleteness throughout. Leave feedback in the forums, including suggestions.

This release is a slightly late Christmas gift to the SWAT3 community. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

New Version of Last Resort Mod Out

It has been a long time since a new version of the Last Resort mod was released. Since then Windows 10 was thrust upon all of us and sadly caused issues for Swat 3.

Version 0.7.1 of the Last Resort mod addresses many of those issues to make the game once again run smoother.

There are a lot of new features with the Last Resort launcher but there are also many bug fixes from the previous version.

Visit the Last Resort website and download version 0.7.1 of the mod.

FIX UPDATE: There was a bug that affected some Windows 7 users. I have fixed that issue and re-released the mod that was originally out Jan 12. If you didn't have any issues you don't need to re-download it.

Well not quite a mansion party, but the administration has decided to add the mansion map to the database. It's a pretty cool level, featuring a large mansion, sewer and a street with several houses that you can enter. The mission was posted on an obscure website and I imagine that most people have never even seen this one. So check it out. :)

Upgraded Walther PPK now available
Copy Cat and Beckett have upgraded the Walther PPK 9mm Japan mod with a stunningly rendered 3D model, high resolution textures, changed the ammo to 7.65mm, located the appropriate ammo definition and changed the gun sounds with better ones.

DnC Multi Mod UPDATE
I had originally thought that the DnC Multi Mod Final was actually going to be it's final release. It was requested to have two specific weapons be added to our list. I am happy to announce that I have successfully added the MP5SDA3_A and the MK23SD_ SOCOM from the Blue Light Mod ! Both of these additions are built with HD textures. The MP5SDA3_A has a functioning aimpoint laser ! Just press the button that is mapped for the flashlight and you will be able to paint your targets with a red dot laser!!

Enjoy this new DnC Multi Mod Final V 1.2

Athlete Training Map Released (UPDATED)
Good evening,

Tonight Copy-Cat and Lord Beckett are proud to present the Athlete Training map port from the late Sum of All Fears game that debuted in 2002 on the Gamecube and PC. Unlike the Raven Shield port this one is authentic and has original textures and detailing, The map is about 15,000 polygons. The map focuses around an athlete training center that has been seized by terrorists. Are you willing to be the hero?

We hope you enjoy our latest production.

(UPDATED: Version 1.3)

Coming Soon!

Of Swat 3 and WINE
For many years it was assumed that SWAT3 was unable to function in WINE, despite seeing the odd screenshot and hearing the odd tale of a person getting it to work, It still remained elusive due to a lack of instructions.

What is WINE?

WINE is free and open source implementation of Windows, allowing you to run Windows applications from 3.1 to Windows 8 on other platforms such as Linux, OSX, *BSD and others. It has been in development for over 15 years and recently has started to become increasingly usable.

How I got it working?

Well you need a platform that has WINE, you need to install WINE from your package manager, ports or from source. I'm using WINE 1.4.1 on Linux Mint 14. WINE can be kind of fickle, sometimes version changes break things, so if it isn't working you should try that version. Next you need to find something called Winetricks. Winetricks is a script that is able to install core components like DirectX, and set them up for WINE, which otherwise would be a very time consuming and tedious process.

You need to run Winetricks and click Select the default wineprefix, install a windows DLL or component, Then select the packages cmd, comctl32, comctl32ocx, comdlg32ocx, crypt32, d3dx9, d3dx9_26-42, dirac, dotnet11, dotnet11sp1, icodecs, i3codecx, mfc42, msasn1, msvcirt, vcrun2008, vcrun6, vcrun6sp6, and click OK. It will then install all this stuff from the internet and properly.

Next you need to get the Gog copy of Swat 3, copy the Sierra folder to the drive_c folder under the wine directory, it must be in that folder or the game will fail to start due to it being unable to find the the files under it's built in PATH variables.

Next you should configure Wine to run in a Window, otherwise it could hang and block you from doing anything else, you do this by running winecfg, going to the graphics tab and selecting emulate a virtual desktop.

It should be ready at this point, the only thing that does not work is the videos and that is because of the lack of proper video codecs, you have to run swat3.exe with the argument -nointro or it will give you the DDERR unsupported error. Other then that it should now work, I tested it myself, the levels I sampled worked 100% suspects, sound, scripting, lighting, etc.
